Friday marked the annual Healthy for Good Expo at Utica College, kicking off Heart Weekend.
Put on by the American Heart Association, it's meant to educate people on preventing heart disease.
It's a chance for people to get a health screen, enter raffles, and enjoy free goodies and food.
Many go in preparation for the Heart Run and Walk on Saturday.
The expo got off to a bit of slow start because of the weather. But, despite the difficult conditions, participants are still looking forward to Saturday’s heart run and walk.
"I'm in the Utica area so I'm accustomed to that, but I definitely don't think it should have an impact on us tomorrow,” said Heart Run Walker Victoria Singh. “We are walking for a good cause so bundle up, dress warm and we shouldn't have an issue."
Nearly 9,000 runners and walkers will participate in America's Greatest heart Run and Walk on Saturday.
The Kids heart Challenge has been postponed.
